Hi, not sure if people who use this forum are aware of the PPC scam?

I have recently acquired some scrap paper from Parking Eye, my first
response was to look around the internet and what an eye opener that was...

The general advice is to ignore all PPC's as they are empty threats.

You must respond to a Penalty Charge Notice issued by the Police or Council
but NOT a Parking Charge Notice issued by a Private Company...

Hope this help, as I'm just passing on information I am aware of recently

Dick Turpin car park

There is an infamous car park in the Yorkshire Pennine town of Haworth. In 2003 it was awarded the RAC Foundation's Dick Turpin award for being the modern day equivalent of a highway robber. Its owner, author Ted Evans, has been featured on BBC Look North a number of times and is reportedly something of a hate figure in the town. Businesses have put warning messages in their windows about the car park and it's putting off people from visiting the town.

The Changegate car park was the subject of a Channel 4 documentary last year (watch it on 4OD). It got the former Speaker of the House Baroness Betty Boothroyd riled when her friend was clamped.
