Marks & Spencer (M&S) Technology - 0845 671 0665
Jan 15th, 2011 at 5:59pm

I have been given 0845 671 0665 as the number i need to ring if the Sony TV i just bought from Marks & Spencer goes faulty in the next 5 years. It seems Sony don't cover the repairs M&S do. I can't find an alternative to this 0845 number except 01925 672317/672398 neither of which will take calls for their technical dept. I have checked on here inputting marks & Spencer to no avail. Most no's about credit cards.
Any other numbers most welcome.
Thankx, in anticipation.

Hello and welcome to SayNoTo0870.com

Does it say anywhere on the documentation provided by M&S as to who provides the cover for M&S?

For instance Sony's are provided by Domestic and General (DomGen), as are a number of other providers cover.

If we can establish who covers it we may find a number,

Regards,

The 0845 number given in the OP is also on M&S' contact page:

Quote:
Technology Enquiries
Mobile Phones

M&S Mobiles: Tel. 0870 0870 200

Vodafone Mobiles : Please refer to your Vodafone product manual for further information about contact numbers.

Technology Products and Accessories (product codes starting T04)
Faults and technical queries: 0845 671 0665

Cancellations, amendments and returns for large technology items: 0845 603 1603.

Delivery date changes for large technology items: 0845 762 4624.

Post Installation Support Service for Sony Laptops: 01753 764 844

This manual is for a Marks & Spencer branded film scanner:
http://www.unisupport.net/download/30000/manual_uk.pdf

The guarantee at the end of the document states:
Quote:
Your Marks & Spencer Product is covered by a guarantee for 2 years from the date of purchase. Please retain your till receipt as this will validate your date of purchase. If a fault develops during this period, call our customer service centre on 0845 671 0665, who will advise you on the best course of action. This may be to return it with original packaging to any M&S store (except Outlets and Simply Food stores) along with your receipt. If it’s within 35 days of purchase we will offer an exchange for a new product or a full refund. After 35 days and for the remainder of the guarantee period, we will arrange for the product to be repaired.

This tends to suggest that the helpline is not for any particular manufacturer's products. I wonder who answers it and where it is answered.  Huh
