It appears that this is more than just the location of a cinema as it is based inside clothing shop Aubin & Wells along with the Aubin Gallery which also uses a 0845 number. I've done quite a bit of work on this one which is set out below. The important bits with suggestions are embolded to make it easier to skip to them.

The question is, are the 0845 numbers (all or some) answered at head office or in Shoreditch?


The Cinema's website is www.aubincinema.com
The Gallery's website is www.aubingallery.com and gives the telephone number 0845 604 8476.

The main Aubin & Wills site is www.aubinandwills.com and gives yet another 0845 number. All are similar:

Interestingly, the list of Aubin & Wills stores gives geographic numbers for each location, including Shoreditch. The only 08 numbers are for the Gallery and Cinema.

The number for Shoreditch branch (64-66 Redchurch St) is (020) 3487 0066. You could try that and ask to be put through, although the fact that 0845 numbers are given out makes me think that the reason for it is because calls are answered elsewhere.

So where might that be?  

The Jack Wills website is www.jackwills.com. Again, the Store Locator gives geographic numbers for branches. But the main contact page gives 0845 262 5225.

How ironic is it that it is given next to the drawing of a payphone, the same model BT uses (albeit it doesn't have a logo on) where 10p buys 30 times less call time to a 0845 number than a geographic or 03 one?

Anyway, aside from the trivia, it also gives the address for customer services as:

This is the same address which is given on the contact page of Aubin & Wills (and the same address is given for returns).

There is one entry, presently unverified, in our database for Jack Wills. It says it's for head office and mail order and is tel (020) 8838 4884 and fax (020) 8838 4889. If they aren't answered in Shoreditch, then this could be where calls for the Gallery and Cinema are answered.

That said, a number of pages say that 8838 4884 is the phone number for 98 Victoria Road, London. Assuming that this is the Victoria Road in Ealing then it is about four miles from the Greenford address. This would also tie in with the fact that 8838 is a Harlesden exchange BT prefix (which is nearby).

However, Google Street View shows 98 Victoria Road, Ealing with a to-let sign outside (says copyright 2010) and Braitrim contact page says it is based there, so perhaps Jack Wills has moved over the last year. However, 8838 4884 is still for Jack Wills.

Thanks for the feedback. I've added this and assumed that it will also work for the 0845 number for the Gallery. Both have a note by them to say that it is for Shoreditch store and that callers will have to ask to be put through.
