Laura Ashley credit card online team
Feb 26th, 2011 at 1:44pm

While speaking to a customer service adviser for my Laura Ashley mastercard (under the Santander umbrella), I was told that the number I needed was 08701252517.  I had been trying to report an apparent technical glitch on the lauraashley-cards.com site that repeatedly told me incorrectly that my account number was invalid, but was told that I needed to speak to the online team on the above number I was then given.  I asked for an alternative geographical or free  Angrynumber but was told that none was available.

The number I used to contact Customer Services was 02081810000, the number obtained from searching this site for an alternative for the 08715225272 number provided on the statement.

I don't know the geographical address for this online help department, so can only give the address provided on the credit card staement, which is Santander's registered address, 2 Triton Square, Regent's Place, London, NW1 3AN

Thanks for posting this. I've added the 0870 125 2517 number to the entry for Laura Ashley Store Cards which gives the 020 number you quoted.

It's not uncommon for single alternatives to be suitable for a whole raft of 08 numbers. I understand that 020 8181 0000 can be used for enquiries for all Santander cards such as those issued by Topman, Burton and so on.

The 0208 181 0000 number no longer works for ASDA credit cards. The general 0800 number does but just tells you to call 0800 952 0101 for credit card info. Eventually by working through the menus, you can talk to someone about an ASDA credit card. You don't need to call 0871 522 5888

Hello and welcome to SayNoTo0870.com.

Please can you say in what way you found the telephone number 020 8181 0000 does not work? This could mean many things such as rings unanswered, always busy, not recognised, unobtainable, answers but doesn't respond in a way that is helpful.

I tried it just now and it says that it is transferring to the "Self Service System" and then requests a card number. This number is the main Santander Cards customer number and is therefore listed as an alternative for other cards that it runs.

The 0800 952 0101 number is main number for Asda and has an IVR (automated menu) on it. It seems to allow access to all Asda services, even those such as Asda Mobile which offer a 0845 number.

It is useful for us to list the menu options that need to be selected in order to reached the desired helpline. This is because most enquiries require a number of options to be selected.

When you do get there (having selected the appropriate options on the 0800 number) it is usually the same as dialling the published 084/087 number for the respective service. Unfortunately Asda keeps changing the options around which means that the messages which say which buttons to press become out of date.

I have (again!) amended them and Asda Credit Card can be reached on 0800 952 0101, then option 1 (Financial Services and Insurance), then option 3 (Financial Services) and then option 1 (Credit Card).

If you notice any further entries that need attention, please let me know. Same goes if you find that Asda has changed its IVR and the notes in our database need updating.
