This is the number all new members are told to call so that they can check their driving licences. I think this is a rip-off as members pay for the service when they actually use it. Why should they have to pay to register too?
Calls to Customer Services incur a charge of around 5 pence per minute. Perhaps it would be worth expressing your disdain at this charge.

There is a number in the unverified database, 020 7631 3422, but this simply gives a recorded message saying to call the 0844 number. This should be removed as it is not a geographical alternative to the 0844 number at all.
I have removed this entry.
It may be helpful to note that this 020 number is answered with a recording that says that it is the Whipcar Headquarters. It refers customer queries, such as licence checks, to the 0844 number.
The 0844 number is answered with an IVR (menu) for various customer enquiries, including reporting a breakdown or an accident. The prefix 0844 544 is allocated to
TelXL Ltd which says it specialises in IVRs. Maybe the different options go through to different places, e.g. selecting the option for reporting an accident could go straight through to the insurance company.
The number after, 7631 342
3, is for HMV Oxford Circus, so it would appear that it is a single number rather than a part of a block.
WhipCar Terms and Conditions gives the address as 41 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 7LA.
Whois whipcar.com gives a different address: 13 Berkley Street, Green Park, London, W1J 8DU. The Administrative Contact is Tom Wright, who is one of the founders. His e-mail is given as
tom@whipcar.com.
