The database lists an alternative number for this contractor umbrella firm, which certainly has the same area code as the one I've just used.

When I emailed them to ask for an alternative (usual theory about no complaints applies), they supplied me with 01296 468483 which I can confirm, works. Their website also mentions 01296 468189, so presumably all their numbers are in this range somewhere.

Firstly, the non-geographic numbers. The contact page gives two 0845 numbers:

Contractor Registrations: 0845 603 8088
Contractor Support: 0845 602 3483

I've just called these (now they are closed) and they all go through to the same message.

That same message is also on 01296 489242 (this is the number listed as verified in the database) and the two supplied by japitts: 01296 468483 and 468189.

I suggest that either:

1. The two 0845 numbers go through to the same place and that the 01296 numbers here may do the same.

2. The two 0845 numbers don't go through to the same place, but have the same message played out when closed and the 01296 numbers here may match the 0845 numbers.

Either way, the only way to find out is when they're open.

For now, I've listed 01296 489242 as the main alternative for both 0845s, with 01296 468483 /189 as secondary numbers. If anyone finds out anything else about this company's alternatives, please post here and I will make the necessary amendments to the database entries.
