I have put an entry in the database for each of the sites that Internet Fusion operates.

Hi! This is an Internet Fusion Ltd telephone number, but please be aware that you may not get through to a customer service staff member if you call it. We use the 08445 090 444 number as it routes through all our customer service phones ensuring prompt and appropriate service. The 01507 number you have is a phone which is not manned for the whole day, and your call wouldn't get rerouted to an available member of staff if you used it. We recognise that not everyone is happy using a non-geographic number, but this is the best solution we have at this time.

The entries I added in December have been removed from the public listings on this site by another administrator.

It is not the use of a non-geographic number which makes people unhappy, but the charge associated with it being a Business Rate one.

A 03 "UK-wide" number is a non-geographic number and it is billed at no more than a geographic call from all phones. I am sure that visitors to this site would find it an acceptable solution for such a number to be employed where a geographic number cannot or is not to be published.

Hi Dave, Thanks for the welcome. I was aware the number has been removed from the listing, thanks for doing that. I felt it was appropriate to post here though, as it's the first google result for 'geographic number for Internet Fusion Ltd' and I thought it best just to warn our customers that they might not get the best service using the 01507 number.

I will raise the issue of an 03 number with the company directors. I can certainly see the advantage to customers in using one.

We are now heading for nearly 2 years since this reply was made and they still use an 0844 number.

Clearly the rebate they receive on this number is sufficient enough to convince them to keep it.

It's a pity they never came back to discuss this with us...

We've covered this one before; your postings have been joined to the existing thread.

According to Internet Fusion the 01507 609953 and 603372 numbers are not suitable which is why no numbers for the company are listed. I have an e-mail from you two years ago where you said you got an answer on the latter but not the former.

Now that customer service numbers must not be charged above the basic rate, as required by the Consumer Rights Directive, perhaps Internet Fusion can let us know when it will be changing its number.
