A full address would be useful. MSMark, you say that it is based in Hindley, but what is the address? If you do not know the address, then why do you say that it is in Hindley? Where did you get that piece of information from?

Based on this, I can only but wonder if Suzanne Guest trades from home. The 0845 number may:

1. go through to her mobile, or;
2. it could go through to her private landline, or;
3. it could be delivered over the internet (by VoIP), or;
4. it could go straight to an answerphone where messages are e-mailed to her.

If it's 1, then perhaps adzha has found the alternative. If it's 2, then unless the number is in the public domain, then it is not likely to be found. If it's 3 or 4, then there is likely to be no alternative to be found. Or it could be a combination of more than one, perhaps depending on time of day and/or whether one mode gets an answer (for example, it could go to a landline and then to the mobile if there is no answer on the landline).

In short, I am thinking that there is little chance of getting an alternative on this one (apart from the mobile number).

The prefix 0845 680 is allocated to Zimo Communications Ltd.

Send the lady an e-mail asking for an alternative number, perhaps stating the reason why. As she is the business owner, she is more likely to be understanding of the issue and more likely to be in a position to offer an alternative.

In some cases where small businesses (including sole traders) are involved, a posting on this site has resulted in them coming forward with an alternative or even replacing their 08 Business Rate number with a lower cost one.
