Hi CJT did you mean a web link because if so it did not appear in your message

Yes it did! Click on 'this' in CJT-80's message

Personally when using this type of link I find it preferable to make the word bold, it stands out more and should not be missed as bazzerfewi obviously did, if you look at the word "this" in CJT-80 post you will see it is not much different to the surrounding text.

This thread has been split off from Free 0800 0808 numbers for mobiles

Thanks everybody, your coments are much appreciated.

I have attempted to read the consultation and a lot of it  beyond me. Does it mean that 0800/0808 numbers to mobiles are under consideration and it may be FREE to ring 0800/0808 number from mobiles one day

Looks more like a dirty brown as the quotes can be seen,(they are definitely 2 different shades), I was only suggesting that making the link word bold does make it stand out, bazzerfewi had missed it and I doubt they would have done had the word been in bold  Smiley

Even making it bold from the original post it is still not [color=#ff0000]

Let's test it out:

There's this excellent site called SAYNOTO0870.COM

and again with the link in bold:

Try using lower case and a 4 letter word instead of 14 like the post  mentioned and as can clearly be seen in my post above with the quotes

Make them bold if you want, but they're fine as they are for me. I clearly saw the link in the original post.

Sorry to cause such a fuss folks, I do miss things but that is because I only have one good eye and if I read quickly and do not check it I have a tendancy to miss things.

Didn't mean to cause a fuss, but there may be some members that cannot see as well as me and may be they could have a problem.

I agree with Baz. I imagine that is possible for forum admin to amend the style sheet, but in the meantime we will have to embolden our link texts - remembering to put the b tags inside the url tags, as follows:

Code:
[url=link url][b]link text[/b][/url]

This is exactly the same as with the <a> tag in html.

The forum has now been updated so that links appear in bold.
