BBC Still Claiming 0845 is local rate.

good find, ofcom claim noone advertises it as local rate now yet the bbc is a major broadcaster.

If you browse the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) website you'll find many judgements against companies they have warned off for falsely advertising 0845 numbers as 'local rate' and 0870 numbers as 'national rate' over the last few years.

Unfortunately it still seems to be almost the norm for companies to do this with 0845 numbers and I really can't be bothered to report them all!

to me this is a failure by ofcom, they seem to always leave loopholes and such allowing abuse and misinformation.
