I was also going to make a similar point, but didn't get round to it.
The database originally gave unofficial cheaper alternatives for official expensive numbers.
We are now in the position that many of those expensive numbers have been replaced by cheaper numbers which are, crucially, listed on the official website of the organisation being called.
In some cases the old numbers remain in service in parallel, and in other cases the old numbers have been taken out of service.
In many cases, the old numbers continue to be promoted on multiple third-party websites and on paperwork that will never be updated.
Should the database continue to list out of service numbers and their replacement, or just the replacement?
If an organisation has only 03 and/or 080 numbers, adequately advertised on the official website, should there even be an entry in the database?
