encourage people to text the council to report things that require council action.

They use 07781 480 521 for this service. The only problem is that is a Guernsey Mobile Number . Not normally included in Uk suppliers inclusive allowances.

You would think the council would make it clear that its not actually using a normal UK Mobile Number.

All they say is. "The cost of using a text will depend upon the mobile phone tariff used, but the council will not make any additional charge."

No doubt some people would try and ring it also, only to find out later they may have made an expensive call not normally included in inclusive minutes.

The colour of the Gravesham Council currently from 2011 is Labour 25 seats Consevative 19. Conservatives lost 8 seats.

It was Conservative from 2007 - and previous 12 years Labour. 

I think a call to Kent Messenger is in order just to let people know. I think I will give the Council a call just to find out what their excuse is.
