I had an 02890 number stored, which has been cut off... I also tried a couple of the "non-verified" numbers and they're cut off too.

In the end I used my work phone to call the 0845 number (0845 6090092) but your site used to have ALL the numbers confirmed - did the Government tell you to take them down or something?

Follow the link kasg has provided. It goes to a posting where I explained that the 01851 alternatives were removed because they no longer worked. Those alternatives were previously provided by the CSA for overseas callers.

I suggested that some other nearby numbers might be suitable alternatives and we are awaiting feedback (or another alternative)…

As for a 028 90 number, I can't recall one for the CSA. The international alternative for the HMRC Child Benefit line is such a number, but now that the 0845 number has been replaced by a non-premium number I have listed that, which is 0300 200 3100, instead.

I've closed this thread as the one linked to by kasg is for CSA. We will appreciate any feedback on suggested alternatives for CSA. This helps us to help others, by listing numbers found to work.
