BT customers will be able to access EE's 4G services under its MVNO deal with EE, which was formally sealed today.
"In the agreement EE provides MVNO services to BT’s customers and employees in the UK. The deal was first revealed in October last year. It saw EE replace Vodafone as BT’s MVNO partner. Vodafone is understood to have stepped back from the MVNO relationship with BT after acquiring Cable and Wireless Worldwide.
BT said it is keen to target both business customers and consumers and build on its Wi-Fi presence under the new MVNO deal with EE.
In a statement the telecoms giant said: ‘BT will carefully manage the change from its current UK MVNO provider to EE to ensure a seamless transition for customers.
‘As part of the agreement, BT mobile customers will be able to access 2G, 3G and 4G services."
