Sky have increased the cost of calls considerably to some non geographical numbers in general from 1/12/2013 .
So it could well pay you to find suppliers who offer Freephone or Geographical (if you have inclusive minutes) Access Numbers for these type of calls. Or get a payg sim and put it in a spare mobile phone and use one of the cheap 1p a minute upwards suppliers.
Some of the increases include.
15p connection plus.
chargeband G22,goes up from 0.51p/min to 2.57p/min.
chargeband G8,goes up from 1.02p/min to 3.14p/min
chargeband G9, goes up from 2.04p/min to 4.29p/min
chargeband G10,goes up from 3.06p/min to 6p/min
chargeband G11, goes up from 4.08p/min to 7.64p/min
chargeband G6, goes up from 5.1p/min to 7.62p/min
