I had cause to contact the DWP today, I contacted them on the 01 number published on this site but because I lived in Barnsley I had to use the 0845 number. As you can imagine I protested stating that 0845 numbers were expensive and that I could not ring out. It was all to no avail as I knew but one has to try.

When I eventually got through they rang me straight back "Thanks to campaigners on this site" but the call still cost me a connection fee and the cost per minute.

NOT HAPPY BUT I FELT I HAD NO OPTION
