I have just had a call purporting to be from TPS, I smelt a rat when the man said "I understand you have been having a lot of nuisance calls"  (how would TPS know that? ) to which I replied "most of them are International and I know you cant do anything about them at present*  he replied "Yes we can now"  I just said I know alot about call problems and being involved with Ofcom and offshore call centres and didnt want to do anything at present.

At no point did he address me by name or ask my name - which I wouldn't have given anyway. The number shown on my Landline Log was 0203 0045597 which I know coulld be a false front number. (not all 0203 numbers are)

My worry is that people hearing TPS would fall for what I believe is a new Scam Call.

Could someone on here perhaps clarify Scam or not before I broadcast an Scam Alert.
