the company you mention is this company: http://www.on-networks-uk.co.uk/ who appear to have next to no information on how to contact them.

The number you provided is also listed on this link: http://updates1.on-networks.com/support/Warranty/ON_Warranty_One_Year.pdf

they have a support e-mail address which they recommend you contact: support@on-networks.com

I believe the call centre could therefore be based outside of the UK and the 0844 number may divert to an international number.
