Presumably they will leave it to the last minute to change it.
I havent had a chance to check the other 0844 numbers they use.

bigjohnI tried PAYG customer services on 0344 809 0222 which works. I have listed both this and the number you have confirmed as alternatives to their 0844 numbers.
I also tried the business customer services number in it's 03 format but this is not active.
