Mar 16^th, 2015 at 6:24pm Hi I can't find out on web sites if BT, who now provide 0870 numbers for free, also provide 0844573 numbers for free. I can find that BT rate these numbers as g6 and they are in category 5 if that helps any of you knowledgeable folk.

BT charges 5.1p per minute plus a connection fee of 15p per call for a g6 call. The enhanced termination fee is around 4.3p per minute. These calls are not inclusive.

From 1 July 2015 the cost will consist of two parts:
- a 7p per minute Service Charge to the benefit of the called party and their telecoms provider
- the Access Charge to the benefit of the caller's provider. So far, none of the landline or mobile providers have announced their Access Charges.

Calls to 0870 numbers have been inclusive from some landline providers since, or just before, revenue sharing was suspended on 1 August 2009. Revenue sharing returns to 0870 numbers on 1 July 2015.
