Hilton Hotels Use Of 0871 Numbers

It has been brought to my attention that the Hamilton Hilton Group are using 0871 numbers as a first point of contact. The number in question is +44-871-902 1618 I have found the alternative number and I will enter it on the database. In regard to the misuse of 0871 numbers which organization polices this practice who should I contact to make a complaint. I have attempted to contact the Hilton Group but without success.

Its a Hampton By Hilton Hotel franchised out to http://www.atlashotels.co.uk/our-hotels who also have numerous Holiday Inn Express Franchises.

They use 0871 numbers extensively as the first point of contact for their Hotels. EG.Sales . Which is perfectly legal and above board.

They are only required to offer a 01/02/03 customer service number to call them on if the customer has a customer service query EG. Booking Change. Which should normally appear on the booking form.

Hilton offer a FREEphone Number for Customer Service 0800 833775 (Option 2)

On the Holiday Inn Express Main Site they do say
(To modify or cancel an existing reservation call : 020 33 499657 )

Thanks for pointing this out... and for the PM...

I believe this may have been dealt with but I will go check

EDIT: Feedback submitted to Hilton Hotels regarding their use of an 0870 number with incorrect information given. Due to limited character space (500 word limit) I have invited them to contact me for more information.

I will await their reply and report back.

HHonors (UK and Europe)
00800 444 66677

HHonors (UK)
08705 466677 (noted as National Rate)

Both are different to the 0870 and 0800 numbers given previously.... Shocked

This is an international freephone number. The denotion of 0845 as local rate and 0870 as national rate hasn't been true for a very long time and should be reported, perhaps to ASA.

The 08705 909090 number appears on the contact page i linked to, it states for calls from United Kingdom- including N. Ireland

I got the 0800 833775 alternative to it from the Say No To 0870 Verified Number List. I checked to see if it still worked before i mentioned it.

08705 909090 is answered by a different menu.

0151 7026200 is the specific number for the Hampton By Hilton. Liverpool City Centre.

They all appear to be answered by one or other of the Hilton Call Centres.

Yes that would be correct as i mentioned above.(They all appear to be answered by one or other of the Hilton Call Centres).

But they advertise the 0151 number specifically in the Liverpool Area.
