DWP still using 0845 number

My partner has just had a letter from the DWP (Pension Service, State Pension related) with 0845 6060265 as the contact number. The textphone number (which she doesn't need) is also an 0845.

Hall of shame time for the DWP who still haven't expunged 0845 numbers and are discriminating against disabled people at the same time.

The published numbers here are the 0345 equivalents: https://www.gov.uk/contact-pension-service

May be worth a note in the database to say that for all DWP 0845 numbers try the 0345 equivalent.

It is a disgrace that DWP still has not sorted out its paperwork …
HOWEVER …
when calling 0845 6060265 there is a free to caller announcement advising of the need to redial the 03 equivalent.

It is bad for this still to appear on current letters, as indeed it is annoying that old numbers will continue to be seen on published literature that may be in circulation for many years and also on third party websites that have not been updated.

DWP should get its act together with its letters, but we cannot criticise the approach in terms of preventing callers incurring premium charges, whilst being redirected to the correct number.

I have also noted there are several 01851 numbers listed for different offices, Do these still work? If anyone has tried them please do let us know.
